It's always about something with animals.

As I photograph more and more animals I have begun to see things through the lens that always tells me more. For Nala it was her spirit and enthusiasm (see photo below.)

For Logan, it was all about the eyes. Logan, a beautiful Irish Setter was found in Logan, Ohio - emaciated with frozen fur. Rescued by a prison warden, he was placed with a local woman who does animal rescue work. His picture was posted on the internet and forwarded throughout the animal rescue system.

Kathie Friedley of Lincoln, VA saw that picture and committed to adopting him based on his image. Via the "underground railroad" of the animal rescue world Logan was transported on a freezing winter day, handed off to Kathie in a parking lot in Martinsburg, WV, and made his way to his forever home.

And now, though his coat feathers beautifully, his toys and meals are plentiful - his story is still there in his eyes....
