Driving Miss Daisy (crazy!)

Poor Miss Daisy. It seems she has a tough life living as the spokesdog for Everything and The Dog. As if this isn't enough, she lives with a pitbull named Bob, who, according to Daisy, is not the brightest crayon in the box.

Well, she begged and dreamed and begged some more for some Easter finery. Alas nothing arrived. So, in honor of Miss Daisy, we're posting one of her newest pictures - all pretty in pink for Easter!

Read more about her problems on the link to the blog below!

Leesburg Canine Country Club

Today Bev Hollis Photography spent the afternoon romping with DOGS! The fields of Leesburg Canine Country Club are greening up and filling up with lots of fun dogs.

For those who were there check back here for a link to photos from the day. I am heading out of town for a photography conference tomorrow but pictures will be up by next week!

See below for a few from today's outing.

On the "bigger" side of the fence at Leesburg Canine Country Club today we found "bird dogs!" Nary a bird in site but lots of romping!

Time Flies

After a couple days of unseasonably warm temperatures my thoughts have turned to spring. In fact, we're coming up on the two year anniversary of our move to northern Virginia from Nashville.

Prior to the move here our dogs had moved with us as we bought and sold 3 other homes. When we moved to Virginia we came with a 10 year plan. I was pondering the fact that 2 years have already flown by when I realized there's a good chance my dogs won't be here to leave with us when it's time. After all, Lily will be 16 and Niles 14 in 8 years. Yes, I know, there's a chance they'll still be here but that is not the point.

The point is to grasp just how fleeting our pet's time with us really is. To me it's amazing that an animal can influence our lives and change it so, with the little time they have.

So, I challenge you to take a minute today and really appreciate your pet and all he or she does to enhance your life. Because time does fly.

Just Another Day at the Office

I really am a lucky gal. Each photo session I shoot I meet true family members (with 4 paws!)

Today was no exception. We were thoroughly entertained by 2 Corgis - Frankie & Tucker.

Check back for more but I couldn't resist getting this one up of Tucker exhibiting just one of his many talents! (Remember you can click on the image to enlarge!)
